PEER SUPPORT
The whole range of making adjustments to a disability, experiencing changes in life, or learning to use services
more effectively. We share our own experiences, knowledge or link you with someone who can relate to the changes and challenges that you might be facing.
CAPPCA The Community Action Public Policy Change Agents
are the consumers, family members, and the community members interested in issues that may affect them or their loved
ones. The group meets once a month on the first Tuesday. Call LINK and find out how to join by phone or come
to the office. All individuals are welcome. For a list of dates for meeting check on the calendar.

FERN The Friends Emergency Response Network is a network to connect individuals in an
emergency or natural disaster situation. This opportunity is available to all consumers in the 22 western Kansas areas
as well as in southwest Kansas, where we have an office location. A test is ran each month to make
sure that all individuals in the program are prepared in a time when those emergencies or disasters occur.
Linda Brewer is the individual that works on the collaboration and set up of this program.
If you are interested in being a part of the FERN program, please call the Hays Office. This is your chance to make
a difference in the lives or others and your own in an emergency situation.
Diabetic Support Group
This group meets on the 1st and 3rd Monday of each month at 6pm in the Rayburn Room at LINK, Inc in Hays. This group is also
available to be joined by phone conference. They offer support to individuals that are dealing with diabetes or
family members who just need more information about diabetes. If you have any

Limb Loss & Amputee Support Group
This group meets once a month on the 2nd Wednesday at 6pm in the Rayburn Room at the LINK office in Hays. They offer support
to individuals and families dealing with a loss of a limb or amputation. To find out
