The Kansas Association of Centers for Independent Living (KACIL), represents 10 Centers for Independent Living (CILs). Centers provide services to people with disabilities of all ages. Centers for Independent Living also provide assistance to businesses and all other entities in the community to assist them in offering services to people with disabilities.

Association of Programs for Rural Independent Living (APRIL)

The Association of Programs for Rural Independent Living (APRIL) is a national grassroots, nonprofit membership organization consisting of over 260 members from centers for independent living, their satellites and branch offices, statewide independent living councils, other organizations and individuals concerned with the independent living issues of people with disabilities living in rural America.

Kansas Department of Aging and Disability Services (KDADS)

The agency administers services to older adults; administers behavioral health, addiction and prevention programs; manages the four state hospitals and institutions; administers the state’s home- and community-based services waiver programs under KanCare, the state’s Medicaid program; and directs health occupations credentialing.

Families Together

Families Together, Inc. is the Kansas Parent Training and Information (PTI) & Family-to-Family Health Information (F2F) Center. 501 (c )3 non-profit organization that provides support and information for families of children, from birth to age 26, with disabilities and/or special health care needs. Programs are offered at no cost to families, and are available in English and Spanish.
